The Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal’s primary goal is to raise funds to support the urgent research and conservation needs of the endangered Tasmanian devil.

Devils suffered enormously when a contagious cancer, known as Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD), wiped out over 80 per cent of the wild population. However collaborative research, monitoring, and cutting-edge conservation programs are saving the devil from extinction.

The Appeal is committed to funding the development of a vaccine that has the potential to offer a solution to DFTD and allow numbers of wild devils to recover. To do this, we are supporting the work of the Menzies Institute for Medical Research by helping them build a “devil den” just outside of Hobart, Tasmania which will be used to house devils used in these important vaccine trials.

To make a tax-deductible donation, please fill in the online form below, or alternatively, you may print and complete the Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal Donation Form (PDF 136KB).
